A series of outdoor spaces for this new student center are situated around a new drainage garden. This system of channels, weirs and scuppers replaces an undersized drainage line and animates the space while reducing the volume and intensity of run-off.
This system is viewed from the glass atrium wall and accomplished improved conditions for construction on the site. This system re-collects at the base of the terraces and re-enters the storm system after this brief exposure while providing an architecture for the site that creates a dialogue with the new building.
