Jones Fountain & Class of '74 Garden

This is the culmination of the primary outdoor space of the Darden School of Business. A 14' diameter black granite laminar flow fountain is situated to capture reflective views of the grounds while providing ambient sound to ameliorate the sounds of traffic on a nearby road. What was formerly a steeply sloped lawn is planted with a mix of native plants and plants that are found at the gardens of Monticello. This garden will transform the experience of sitting on the brick seat wall by providing an overhead canopy, blossoms and shade while the shrubs and perennials will provide a dynamic and fragrant backdrop.
