John Joseph Meaney, ASLA

John's background in resource management, environmental science and environmental law shapes his responses to the design of new landscapes. His detail-oriented and thorough approach to project development and management is balanced by an overriding ethical approach to design. John has led the construction documentation and administration of numerous complex public and institutional projects such as the new John Paul Jones Arena at The University of Virginia, a project with an innovative and integrated stormwater management system. He is currently managing the new construction of both the VMWare Headquarters in Palo Alto California and the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum in Winchester, a project aiming to achieve a LEED platinum rating. Prior to joining Siteworks, John worked as a landscape architect with the VMDO Landscape Studio, Mahan Rykiel Landscape Architects and Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects.
